Our goal as an organization, and through the TELUS Ride For Dad, is to spread awareness and fund research for prostate cancer, so that men can continue to be there for their families and friends for years to come.
“Our numbers are climbing, but men should not be dying from prostate cancer and all of the people in this ride are trying to get that message out loud and clear.” Max Keeping, former CTV Ottawa executive passed away from prostate cancer, October 1, 2015
We mainly raise funds through large scale one-day vehicle based fundraising events, the TELUS Ride For Dad, and through ongoing public fundraising throughout the year.
TELUS Ride For Dad events take place in more than 35 major cities across Canada, representing every Canadian province. To learn more about a ride in your city, please click here.
TELUS Ride For Dad events have been taking place in Canada for more than 17 years, and has grown to include ATVs, snowmobiles and personal watercrafts. Today, more than 250,000 men, women and children have been involved!
“We thank you for the privilege of riding with so many angels on wheels, but the defining moment was not the prizes we won but Dad finding out two days later that he had reached a three month benchmark cancer free.” Gordon Larin, on behalf of Dad, Orleans, Ontario
To date we have donated more than 27 million dollars towards prostate cancer research and awareness!
